Porsche has officially launched the 2026 iteration of its top-of-the-line 911 Turbo S (992.2 generation) in the Indian market at a hefty price of Rs 3.8 crore (ex-showroom). The vehicle is offered in the regular Coupe variant and consumers can select from the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur program in order to personalize their order. The start of the delivery process is scheduled for the early part of 2026.
The new 911 Turbo S is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six turbocharged hybrid engine, which is the same engine as GTS but now comes with an enriched e-turbocharger. This arrangement provides a total power output of 711 bhp and 800 Nm of torque which is about 60 bhp more than the previous Turbo S model. The power generated is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Porsche claims it can do 0–100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and 200 km/h in 8.4 seconds, before a top speed of 322 km/h. At the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the sports car reportedly put down an astounding 7:03.92 lap time.
As for the exterior, the vehicle retains its recognizable Turbo features such as large air intakes behind the doors, and the rear fenders are also wider. It comes with an active rear spoiler that is smaller in size, carbon ceramic disc brakes with a diameter of 420mm for the front and 410mm for the back, and a lighter weight titanium sports exhaust system, among other things. The presence of 21-inch central-lock wheels and adaptive aerodynamic diffusers serves to enhance its competition-readiness.
As for the interior, the cabin takes a big step forward with the incorporation of Porsche's latest technological interface that includes control for infotainment and digital gauge updated. The customization suite offers premium upholstery and finishing options.
By virtue of its hybrid system and sophisticated aerodynamics, the new 911 Turbo S is, without a doubt, the most powerful road-going 911 sold in India yet and is capable of providing electric torque assist along with traditional Porsche performance engineering.
